Welcome, I’m glad you’re here!

As a coach, I’ll be asking you to share your story with me so I’d like to begin by sharing my journey to coaching with you. I have always been a very enthusiastic person with a strong internal drive. Over the years, my positive nature and my motivation have served me well, but there were times when my drive to succeed drove right over me!

Looking back, I see how focused I was on achievement – in academics, sports, and extracurricular activities. I wanted to do everything, be everything. I craved the validation that came with success. Mainly because I lacked genuine confidence. I also didn’t want to disappoint anyone. The fear of failure kept me from pursuing my greater passions and in some ways even realizing them. My affinity with writing and helping others was firmly relegated to hobby status.

I sought fulfillment in a career where I knew I could be successful, marketing and communication. I went on to earn my master’s degree in business administration and moved into a leadership role. I enjoyed leading as well as being part of a larger creative team, but I was always hungry for something more so when the opportunity came to partner in a family business venture, I took the leap!

Building a business from the ground up was quite an adventure. It was harder than I thought it would be, but it was also infinitely more rewarding. It took grit and determination to be sure, but also a willingness to be a novice again. While my knowledge and experience were strong assets, I was breaking into a whole new industry. I had to get new licenses, grow new skill sets and adapt others. I was in for the challenge the next 8 years would bring. My husband and I had one child during this time and were balancing work/family life well. The company was a growing success, so, for a while, I thought that was it.

Then, we had twins! Goodbye comfort zone. Hello double blessings, sleepless nights, and the unexpected opportunity to chart a new course. Something shifted in me. The familiar restless urging inside me found a voice. And I was listening to it. It wasn’t telling me to push myself harder, it was telling me to slow down and go deeper.

I devoted myself to my personal and spiritual growth and started trusting my inner voice. Instead of trying to fit the mold of what I thought I “should” be, I focused my energy on answering these two questions: “What do I have to give?” and “What is the best vessel for sharing it?” That’s when my journey as a coach began.

Coaching is my passion and my purpose. For the past 10 years, it has been my great joy to help others to find fulfillment in their careers, in their home lives, in their personal and professional relationships and, most importantly, within themselves.
